• 2016

INRTU ranked sixth in the monitoring of innovation activities effectiveness in Russian universities. ITMO University in partnership with Russian Venture Company analyzed innovation and entrepreneurial activity at 45 leading Russian universities.

INRTU was reckoned among the best accelerators and business incubators of Russia in 2016 and took the second place. Analytical company UBI Global by the support of Russian Venture Company and National Research University higher School of Economics presented the list of the best accelerators and business incubators of Russia.

INRTU took 83rd place among Russian universities in the Academic ranking of World Universities – European Standard made by European Research and Industrial Chamber.  

INRTU ranked 29th in the National Ranking of Russian Universities aimed to estimate economic demand for Russian universities made under the project “Social navigator” by the international information agency “Russia today”.    

INRTU ranked 30th in the National Ranking of Universities by “Interfax” Group with participation of “Echo Moskvy” radio station for 2015. 

• 2015

INRTU took 29th place among engineering universities in the ranking of demand for HEIs in Russia prepared under the project “Social navigator” by the international information agency “Russia today” with participation of Labor market Research Center. There are 140 universities in the ranking.

INRTU was among the top 20 Russian universities in terms of the level of salaries of IT graduates. The ranking was made by Superjob research center.    
• 2014

ISTU was among top 50 technical universities of Russia rated by reputation. The ranking was prepared by “Expert RA”.

• In 2013 Irkutsk State Technical University was among top 20 Russian universities by the demand for its graduates among employers. National Research Irkutsk State Technical University was the only higher educational institution in Irkutsk region chosen for “Expert RA” ranking survey. NR ISTU upgraded its level and ranks 54th in the overall ranking list while in 2012 it ranked 57th. ISTU confirmed its leadership in the area of the demand for its graduates ranking 18th in this area.

By the results of 2012/2013 academic year NR ISTU ranked 23rd in national ranking of Russian classical and research universities made up by the information agency “Interfax” and radio station “Echo Moskvy”. Irkutsk Technical University was awarded 56 points of 100 possible. In the block “Innovations and entrepreneurship” ISTU ranked 13th with 82 points of 100; in the block “Research” our University ranked 19th.

• By the results of national ranking of Russian universities in 2010 Irkutsk State Technical University was among top 20 Russian universities. In June 2010 ISTU became the member of “Association of leading universities of Russia”. In April 2010 the University won the All-Russian competition and was awarded the category “National Research University”. 
• At the fifth mining forum “Minex-2009” ISTU became the winner in the nomination “Mining HEI of the year” for the high quality of training of specialists for Russian mining industry.
• By the results of survey “Ranking of universities which are participants and winners of competitions of innovative educational programs in 2006 and 2007 by the level of ICT development” carried out by rating agency “ReitOR” in 2008, ISTU ranked 2nd in the field “ICT-infrastructure” (journal “Career”, June 2008).
• Based on the survey of 1100 leading enterprises of Russia ISTU became a member of “Alpha league” composed of 16 leading Russian universities (the survey was made by All-Russian Center of Public Opinion Research by the order of Public organization “Business Russia” in May-June 2007). Based on the survey of 300 largest companies of Russia ISTU ranked 11th among all Russian universities and 1st among HEIs of Siberia and the Far East (“Kommersant DENGI, # 11, 2007).
